MANUFACTURING COMPANIES IN NC

Who, where, and what are the manufacturing companies in Western North Carolina?  What industries are they in?  How many employees do they have?  What are their gross revenues?  Is there a primary contact for a certain company?  There is a lot of talk and also a lot of confusion about manufacturing in general and specifically in Western North Carolina (WNC).  Nationally, companies are tracked by the Dept. of Commerce by NAICS code – the North American Industry Classification System.  While most people think of manufacturing as machine shops, product assembly lines, and mass production, in reality the US Dept of Commerce recognizes over 300 categories of manufacturers.  We found 225 of these represented in WNC and have made it simple to locate these businesses by Name, County, Industry Code, or Industry Description.  Watch the short video for instructions to make the whole process easy.  We hope you find this data useful – provided as a courtesy of the Corporation for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at Western Carolina University.
